Essentially, Navi+ has two forms of publishing: Sticky and Section, both of which are very powerful and important, suitable for different usage scenarios:
- Menu types like Bottom Bar and FAB will function as Sticky because they will remain on the screen as you scroll down. You can set up some advanced configurations, such as automatically hiding when scrolling to a certain point, but generally, it will occupy space on the screen. Therefore, it is suitable for creating main, important menus, which are often the central navigation of the website. For this type of sticky menu, you will need to embed Navi+ directly into the theme, and one click is enough; no further action is needed.
- Menu types like Grid menu, banner, info box, header, etc., are considered sections. You will insert one or more menu sections into your theme. For example, you might insert a Grid menu titled “Product Catalog” into the homepage, a “Share” menu into the blog, and a header for the product detail section.
Navi+ supports a wide variety of display types, which can be listed as follows:
- Navi+ supports displaying a menu on either desktop, mobile, or both.
- Navi+ supports displaying menus on a group of pages based on the common definitions used by Shopify and e-commerce websites in general: Home, catalog, product detail, blog, etc.
- Navi+ supports displaying or hiding menus based on a keyword in the page’s URL. This is a very powerful and unique feature that allows you to show menus on specific individual pages.
